Split Focus

Every move leaves a trace. Plan yours.

Split Focus is a compact turn-based stealth puzzle about reading the maze, managing noise, and outthinking predictable enemies.

Nothing moves until you act. Move the Runner, shift a gate, sneak, place a false Echo, or wait. The enemy then performs the response already marked on the board. There are no reflex checks and no grind: take your time, test a route, and try again with a better plan.

How It Plays

  • Plan one action at a time. Every choice advances the turn and triggers one visible enemy response.
  • Shift the maze. Open and close gates to reshape your route, but every gate shift creates Noise.
  • Manage Sneak Focus. Sneak is persistent when enabled, but silent steps consume Focus that must recharge.
  • Misdirect Sentinels. Later levels introduce Echoes and new deterministic enemy rules.
  • Review your route. Completed and failed runs can be replayed or copied as deterministic action data.

Current Playtest

This build contains eight handcrafted levels and is being expanded toward a 20-level first release. Each level introduces or combines a small set of readable mechanics.

The game is designed to feel thoughtful and low-pressure while still creating tension when a Sentinel picks up your trail.

Controls

Play with a keyboard or controller. Controls can be reviewed and rebound from the Options menu.

  • Direction keys or D-pad: move and select targets
  • Confirm: choose the focused action
  • Back / Escape: cancel or open the in-game menu
  • Restart: immediately retry the current maze

Desktop browsers are the current target. Controller support can vary by browser and operating system.

Thank you for testing Split Focus.
